Repeat Prescriptions

medication4If you are taking regular medication, repeat prescriptions can be obtained by leaving your repeat prescription request at reception.

Please give a MINIMUM of FIVE FULL WORKING DAYS notice before collecting. If the items requested are not on your re-order form then allow at least 5 full working days before collecting.

You may leave a stamped addressed envelope for us to post the prescription to you.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE DO NOT TAKE REPEAT PRESCRIPTION REQUESTS OVER THE TELEPHONE FOR SAFETY REASONS.

Your doctor will review your repeat medication every 6-12 months to keep it up to date and may request that you attend for blood test or come to see the doctor at this time.

Many medicines are wasted or stock piled by patients. If for any reason you are not taking your medicines or you have supplies at home do not request that medicine.

Never share medication with anyone else and let us know if you have any concerns regarding your medication.

Electronic Prescription Service (EPS/ETP)

This is a national service that allows your medication to go to a chemist or pharmacy electronically.  This will save you saving you visiting the surgery to collect your script, as it will go straight to your nominated chemist/pharmacy.

To nominate a chemist/pharmacy, please speak to the chemist/pharmacy of your choice or ask a receptionist.

A full list of local pharmacies can be found on the NHS Website
